Office to Nursery Transformation

I have been working on this project for a while now and I think it's now finally done! I'm so excited to share how we transformed my home office into a nursery for our baby boy. Check out the before and after photos and all of the details of what we used.

AFTER:

I went for a grey and white overall theme. Then mixed in dinosaurs and stars for some fun and cute touches. We painted the walls a grey-blue color and got just one key piece of furniture: this awesome Restoration Hardware Haven dresser and dresser top. We made our white bookcase and crib work by adding in touches of grey like baskets, boxes, sheets, etc.

Curtains are Pottery Barn Kids blackout panels and work great to keep the light out of this bright room. Rug is from Overstock, our favorite place to find cute and affordable rugs for any room. The lamb plush rocker from Pottery Barn is my favorite and is so soft and cute in person! They have lots of other adorable options. The rocker can also be personalized, which would be extra sweet.

Love how adorable this hipster dinosaur is from Neiman Marcus...they have so many cute and great quality stuffed animals.

We hung up the Star Bright Wall Decal from Land of Nod over the crib. I love how easy decals are and what a safe decoration they provide over a crib. Organic sheets and bed skirt are also from Land of Nod. The cloud crib mobile and arm as well as the cloud and stars hanging over the changing table are from Pottery Barn Kids. I really like the PBK mobile arm because it's made out of wood and is just much better quality and better looking than the standard plastic arms.

I am really happy with how the dinosaur gallery art wall has turned out and gives the room some nice pops of color. We thought it would be sweet to integrate one of Lena's art pieces and made the whole wall around her large multi-color artwork. She is so proud and excited that it's hanging in his room :). I painted the footprint, egg, Roar, and T-Rex on a bicycle in watercolors. The Bronty Wall Art on the top left is from my favorite Land of Nod.

It's also great having closet curtains because I can still keep all of my stuff in his room, but well out of sight and out of the way.

Last, but definitely not least, how cute are these little Star wall hooks from Land of Nod?

Hope you enjoyed checking out our latest project as much as I enjoyed putting it all together!
