Here is a super easy and fun little tutorial of how to make a modern 3D artwork for your place. I used a piece of wood board, a pencil and a sharpie, but you can of course use any materials that you have around! VIDEO: The process and finished look: #diy #art #decor #homedecor #sharpie
This is a quick DIY artwork I made using Chunkies Paint Sticks. These paint sticks are our absolute favorite and are super easy and clean to work with. They are normally a more kid-focused product and I wanted to showcase how versatile they are and how you can use them to create your own chic art as well. Here is a quick Step-By-Step photo guide... As you can see, the paint doesn't have to be perfect, which is what makes it look more unique. Let it dry for a few hours or even
Gerhard Richter is one of my long-time favorite painters so I decided to create a Richter-inspired art with Lena. We used our favorite watercolor paper and OOLY Chunkies Paint Sticks (linked below). Lena selected the colors, I cut 1/4 inch slices of the painsticks to place at the top of the paper and Lena scraped them down. That's it! The wooden box worked ok, but I would use something smaller like a ruler in the future to make it easier to scrape. I absolutely love how the c
This is an easy and quick Valentine's Day watercolor project that requires pretty limited supplies. Just some watercolor paper and black watercolors. Would make a great gift for most anyone too... I framed ours in a white Pottery Barn Wood Gallery 8x10 frame. Enjoy ;) #valentinesday #vday #diy #art #watrcolors #wink #blackandwhite
I have been loving all of the fun typography prints I've been seeing lately. Some of them can get quite pricey for a simple black and white print so I decided to make my own and it was really super easy. Can't wait to make a bunch more and keep updating our art. The great thing with making your own is that you can write any message you like! For this one, I was inspired by Nirvana after the documentary we watched on Kurt Cobain as I couldn't get this one line out of my head.
This is a cute customizable Easter Egg art project. HOW-TO: Cut out 1/2 in - 1in pieces of paper in a few different pastel shades. I also had a glittery sheet of paper that I cut up, but if you don't have one handy, you can also glitter your own. Glue the strips in a line (more or less) down a large sheet of construction paper. Cut out an egg shape out of a different piece of paper to help trace an egg on the project. Cut out the egg shape and then frame! Another idea: cut in
This is a nice fun project to do with your kids to create some Halloween decor. How to: Step 1: Draw a spider web on a large white sheet of paper with white oil pastels. Step 2: Prepare water color paints in water by adding some water color paint to some warm water. Step 3: Apply colored water and some extra extra water color paint if you want a higher saturated look Step 4: You can also pour on a bit of salt at the end while it is still dry to create some nice texture.
